Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

EARNING QUESTIONS

Is Naira Naija legit?

The truth is, this is the most frequently asked question everyone has asked us.

You see, even if you ask a scammer if his ‘scam’ is legit, he’d always reply in the affirmative. But since we are no scammers, then we will not just tell you we are legit. We will prove our legitimacy to you. So how come you can make money online off your initial N1,500 investment?

Our site runs advertisements from where we get the bulk of our money. When you register on our site with N1,500, then you’d become a co-sharer (earner) of the advert revenue we earn.

Note: We run the most transparent online earning program anywhere in Nigeria. And you can take our word for it!

So for what it’s worth: Naira Naija IS NOT A SCAM! We are also registered to do business in Nigeria by the CAC

How does it work?

Becoming a revenue earner on our site is easy, and does NOT require rocket science to understand.

But first things first: THIS IS NOT A GET-RICH QUICK SCHEME.

So, let’s discuss how it works:

  1. As a new, registered user on our platform, you would earn c1,500; standing for 1,500 cowries. (We named it cowries so it’d feel traditional. You get it?)
  2. Since you have done 1 above by registering for an account with us, then we will pay you for every activity you perform on our site, as thus:
    a. Visiting: For visiting our site, you would earn c100; that is 100 cowries.
    b. Commenting: When you comment on any post on our site, you are guaranteed c50; that is, 50 cowries.
    c. Viewing posts: For viewing posts, you are also entitled to another c50.
    d. Logging in: This is different from visiting. So, you’ll earn c100 for this. Inadvertently, you have earned c200 for visiting our site daily (since you’d be logged on to receive the cowries).
Note: A user on this platform (Emmanuel/Emmzytech) pointed out the anomaly between this cowry reward option and logging in. So this cowry option does not apply to the site again.
    e. Publishing/Creating Posts: For creating your own posts, you will earn a whooping c200.
    f. Referrals: Well, we pay you 50% of your referrals’ payment and also compensate you further with 250 cowries.

How do I cash out?

By cashout, we’d suggest you mean withdrawal.

To withdraw, you can do so weekly (as a non-referrer; though). But as a referrer, you are free to withdrawal your earnings daily.

What is the minimum balance to withdraw?

The minimum balance for withdrawal goes thus:

a. Referrer: N1,500 daily
b. Non-referrer: c15,000 weekly (15,000 cowries) which equals N3,000. 5 cowries equal N1.

Note: As a referrer, you can withdraw your earnings daily once you meet the minimum threshold for withdrawal, and for non-referrers, you can withdrawal your earnings weekly once you reach the minimum c15,000.

Important Notice: From 12pm May 9th 2020, we changed the conversion rate of our cowries-naira equivalent. 15,000 cowries now equal N1,500 at an exchange rate of 10 cowries to 1 naira unlike what we had before. This new change was effected in line with the current prevailing challenges we are facing. However, we do not expect to devalue our rates again; unless we want to make the rate stronger to increase your earnings. You can read more about the new change here.

How can I use the store?

You can use the store as a normal online store, difference been that you have the added advantage of paying for goods/products and/or services with your earnings on our site. Although, our store products are in Naira, but you can pay in the cowries equivalent of what you want to buy in our store.

How much does 1 cowry worth?

1 cowry is worth 20kobo. This means that 5 cowries equal 1 naira.

Can I make up to N20k in a week?

We cannot ascertain how much you can make in a week for sure since this is not some auto-pilot, money generating software. You only earn based on what you do here and your calculation of how you want to earn N20,000 or more in a week.

So literally speaking, we would say “Yes, of course”, and “Why not?”, but it only depends on you and what you do that will earn you N20,000 weekly.

By default, using our platform judiciously, we believe an average user should be able to earn at least N12,500 weekly, but this cannot be ascertained for all users and is very much relative.

Can I buy more cowries with my own cash?

For now, we have not added that feature on our site but if we get many interested parties willing to trade cash for our cowry currency here, then we may give the option a go.

How can I pay for my registration?

You can pay for your registration directly on our platform with your debit cards or bank accounts. At the same time, for ease of transaction, we have eligible coupon sellers on our platform who would attend to your registration by offering you coupon codes you can use for your registration.

Either way you choose to register is legit and you are entitled to ALL benefits a registered user enjoys on our platform.

Where can I see my dashboard?

Your dashboard (called My Account) is easy to see from the hamburger menu on mobile. On desktop, you’d see it immediately below the header. However, it may not be visible to you if you are not a registered user on our platform.

What does DAE means?

DAE simply stands for Daily Activities Earnings.

This is what is accrued to you for every activity you perform on our site, vis:

  1. Visiting: For visiting our site, you would earn c100; that is 100 cowries.
  2. Commenting: When you comment on any post on our site, you are guaranteed c50; that is, 50 cowries.
  3. Viewing posts: For viewing posts, you are also entitled to another c50.

I cannot continue with my registration. I'm stucked!

We are deeply sorry to hear this.

Please send an email to abbey@nairanaija.com or chat us up on WhatsApp

If I win a giveaway on the site, would I be credited in my cowries or directly to my bank account?

All contests and giveaways we run on this platform are independent of the online earning program (OEP) we run here. This means that for every contest and/or giveaway, we would definitely state it clearly how you would receive your remuneration if you win. Most times, it would be a direct bank transfer to your account.

My cowries got deducted. What happened?

Oops, sorry to hear about that.

But it is possible to lose your cowries if you keep posting spammy contents just to boost your earnings. This process is automatic and manual in that our anti-spam bot notices your spammy posts and put it in a checklist for us. If we confirm it to be spammy, then we will delete it and the cowries you have earned for the deleted posts would be removed from your balance. However, we do NOT deduct your referral earning, neither do we deduct your daily activities earning. We only remove what was added to you that you did not merit.

SITE CONTENT QUESTIONS

I saw some inappropriate contents. How do I report it?

First, thank you for been sensitive enough to notice an inappropriate content.

Trust us, we do everything to make our platform sane enough for every visitor and user to have the best contents anywhere they could ever have on the internet. And as such, we curate contents to make sure the bad guys are not on rampage here.

But since you have seen something inappropriate, please help us flag it. This would enable us to see it faster and pull it down. But if you are not a registered user and cannot flag a post, please copy the URL of the content you want to report and send a mail to quality@nairanaija.com with the subject “Inappropriate Content” and our Content Quality Team would get back in touch with you within twelve working hours.

Can I create my own posts?

We highly recommend you to create your own posts because it is one of the ways to top up your earnings on our site. 1 new post you create would earn you c250 which equals 50 naira.

However, we shun contents that are not properly written or have too many typos.

If you don’t know what type of posts to create, then questions are your best bet! (And you still get rewarded for asking questions).

Can I copy contents from other sites to use here?

No.

This is what plagiarism is and we shun it 100%.

If we notice you have plagiarized someone’s content without their consent, then we may have to ban you from our site; depending on our Content Quality Team’s decision, though. But most likely, you may lose at least 1000 cowries for plagiarism and punishment may be severe in other cases.

Can I appeal if my post is taken down?

Yes, you can appeal.

We are not running an authoritarian system here, and we would love to hear from you why you think your post should be restored if removed by our Team.

Please send a mail to: quality@nairanaija.com with the subject “Appeal Inappropriate Content”

How many posts do you take down daily?

So far, we haven’t seen any bad guys around so we haven’t really taken down any post.

The “threat” to take down posts is just to sound warnings to people who may want to ridicule our system to obtain undue rewards by posting spammy contents, plagiarizing another person’s creative works, or finding any suitable way to harm our community for their own benefit.

So, most likely, we may never have to take down any post if we keep getting the right contents from people.

Can I use different accounts to post?

No.

This is tantamount to spam in one way on its own, and does not portray integrity so we frown at it.

For whatever it’s worth, refrain from registering more than one account on our platform. If we notice you have more than one account here, we may have to ban all the accounts

Can I transfer cowries to another user?

Although we frown at this at first, but we understand that you may want to support your friend who needs to ‘up’ his/her cowry level, so we have added this feature for use. However, the minimum cowry you can transfer is c5,000 while the maximum stands at c100,000.

In the same vein, we have to clear this out: If any user threatens you to transfer cowries to him/her, please do NOT do so. Just send us a mail to abuse@nairanaija.com and we will see to the issue as early as we can; 6 hours maximum

Can I trust contents on Naira Naija?

Yes, you can trust contents on our platform.

Apart from curating what our users post, we also have a dedicated in-house team that get the right news info for you. We have a name to protect, we would not ruin it for some meagre clicks, not even for a jet full of dollar bills, because we believe integrity pays and it is what we are going to ride on to build our name as a trusted provider of quality contents anywhere on the internet

Is it possible to run sponsored posts on Naira Naija?

Yes, you can run sponsored posts with us.

At the same time, we vet the contents of your post to be sure they are not misleading and are in no way related to any scam activities. This means we are at liberty to accept or reject your sponsored post offers.
